As an art-student in the early 70’s in (South) Africa, I discovered the problem of art and Politics. It did not result in more effective artworks, only in more people ending up at psychiatrists. As a postgraduate in the late 70’s in (Dutch) Europe I discovered the politics of Art. That resulted in me ending up with a gallery.
